Cindy’s first book “The Faith Keeper” was published with Word Alive Press in 2016, and placed as a finalist in the Word Awards, through the Word Guild of Canada. Cindy began sharing with others through music at the age of twelve, and has five CD’s to  her credit. She was also a guest on One Hundred Huntley street twice following the release of her second album ‘In View of His Mercy’. Her most recent album ‘My Heart’s Lament’ was produced by Producer Mark Troyer at Evergreen Sound in Calgary. Recently one of Cindy’s songs, ‘The Dance of Life‘, was chosen by Faith Flix Films for their movie “Providence”, but was initially written to support the Olds and District Hospice Society. Cindy is thrilled to release her first children’s book in May, with another to follow this Christmas. Cindy seeks to share the love of Christ to everyone she meets and enjoys using the gifts He has given her to do so. She is especially passionate about encouraging believers to surrender to His will, and finish well. Currently she is the Director of Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre in Olds, and a qualified RSVP Ministries speaker.

About me

I began songwriting at the age of twelve when I received my first guitar. Over the years I have gravitated to piano as my major instrument, next to voice. Thanks to my parents, and mostly my Mom running me up and down the road I was able to study voice for twelve years before enrolling in the music program at Red Deer College (RDC). The President of the Music Department found me a music theory tutor so I could pass the entrance exam. As a child piano lessons didn’t include theory. I wrote music all the time but didn’t have a clue how to score it. Once in college I ate music theory up like it was candy. One of my favourite classes was Music Appreciation taught by Cheryl Cooney. I couldn’t get enough listening to all the instruments and each part they played. Another favourite class was Orchestration. My Melody Writing class revealed I was already writing strong melody, but explained the reason my melodies worked so well.

After RDC I went on to attend some songwriting workshops in Nashville, TN. I remained active in musical theatre even after I got married.

Once our third child was born I began the recording adventure.

Once upon a time...
