How do the words we use on a day to day basis reflect on our intellect, and our reputation, and do we care?
My daughter and I were talking about the problem of vulgar language in our world today, and she brought up an interesting point. The classic movie “Gone With The Wind” released in 1939 is famous for a specific line Rhett Butler wields at Scarlett. “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn”. At the time “damn” was an unusually shocking word to hear in America.
Oh my how we’ve digressed.
Many may argue that the word “damn” has evolved and doesn’t necessarily mean what it use to.

Let us do ourselves a favour, and actually think about what we say, and why we say it, and whether it is adding or subtracting to our lives, and the lives of those around
I refuse to accept cussing as my cultural norm, and believe that my writing and speech can be both honest, and powerful without including vulgarity.
Most importantly, as a believer I know that what comes out of my mouth, reveals what is inside my heart (Matthew 15:18).
What comes out of my mouth reveals who I am.
