Nothin's Gonna Keep Us From His Love

I met a young woman facing extreme challenges. After meeting her I couldn't help but keep praying for, I knew only God could reach down and intervene and make a difference. The prayers turned into a song, and I eventually finished that song and included it in my first ever Podcast, Cindy Palin Music & Words, S01E03. It happened to be the episode that received the most plays in 2021.

The lyrics are below, but if you want to get a copy of the chords and lyrics to learn it and sing it yourself, visit my shop page. The title of the song is actually a truth found in scripture, Romans 8:38, and 39, where Paul tells us nothing can separate us from the love of God. Another theme that jumps out is the 'long arm of the Lord', which can be found in several scripture passages, which emphasize He is able to save us. Isaiah 50:2, is one such passage.

As we begin this New Year that our Father God has granted, may we make time to encourage one another with His truths.

You make me smile when the sun doesn't shine

Let the world pass you by again

'Cause my faith is in

somethin' far greater than you, yeah

somethin' much bigger than I

Don't you cry

Oh Suzannah

Nothin's gonna keep us from His love

I look at you and I see His design

His redemption so fine and strong

'Cause His arm is long

somethin' so mighty and true

somethin' so deep and so wide

Don't you cry

Oh Suzannah

Nothin's gonna keep us from

Nothin's gonna keep us from

Nothin's gonna keep us from His love

His love is sweeter than wine

His love is outside of time

His love is deeper than mine

mine..

Deeper than mine

"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither our fears for today or our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38, 39 NLV)
